Dear Readers:

RIVALS FOR THE CROWN has arrived at last! Check your local bookstore, or order it online today. This is the second in my Highland series, and continues the story of the MacGannon and MacDonald families. In this one we meet Margaret and Gannon’s son Rory, and Davey’s son Kieran. Nell is back, revealing some of her story, but not all – that’s still to come.

We also get to know Isabel de Burke and Rachel de Anjou, childhood friends whose lives are intertwined in ways they never could have imagined. I enjoyed being able to write about their friendship, for I have been blessed to have wonderful friends who have been at my side in sunshine and in shadow, and help keep me strong. And love is at the heart of the story, for what’s danger and friendship and the threat of war without a love story or, in this case, two?

RIVALS is set in both England and Scotland during the 13th century, the early Braveheart years. The research was fascinating. I learned so much about two amazing men, William Wallace and King Edward I of England, both brilliant and intense, and perfect for inclusion in the story of the struggle for the crown of Scotland. Want to know more? Check out the excerpt – you can find it by clicking on BOOKSHELF and then RIVALS FOR THE CROWN. And here’s the brand new trailer to give you a hint of what’s to come in the book.
