Dear Readers, I’m sure many of you join me in celebrating the departure of 2007 and have hopes and dreams of a better year with the advent of the new one. In my case, I have my fingers crossed that we don’t have a repeat of the surgeries that befell my family last year which warranted me becoming Super Nurse, a position I never dreamed about filling until the need required I do so. But, that’s behind us and everyone is healthy! On the positive side, when I was in California for one of the family surgeries, I received word that my first print novel, Struck by Lightning, won a Beacon award in two categories! That gave me another reason to celebrate since all had gone well with the surgery. Now, my focus is completing Dead Faint, a sequel to Waking Up Dead which was my first vampire story. Someone once tagged my work as ‘humor with heat’ and I liked the tag so much I kept it, so it’s safe to say my vampires bring smiles in addition to the need to break out a fan (or search for the significant other). In addition, I have another novel in the works and have also started my first venture into mainstream/women’s fiction. My character discovers as I have through the years, Life Changes.
